Joel E. Sandahl
Founder, President & CEO
Mr. Sandahl began developing embedded products with an Intel 4004 4-bit microprocessor in 1973. Since then, he has been a prolific embedded developer, successfully developing more than 120 embedded designs, including a number of world class leading-edge products:
- First microprocessor-based mobile telephone
- First nine-axis submicron micropositioning system
- First self-calibrating Fabry-Perot interferometer
- First automatic simulcast transmission control system
- Fastest phase-frequency locking technology for precise time-frequency standards
- First high speed digital simulcast system for wireless messaging
- First commercially viable satellite link system for wireless messaging
